Monthly Meetings
The Society’s monthly meetings provide the opportunity for players of all levels to perform to an audience of like-minded and sympathetic guitar enthusiasts. This is great practice for exams and recitals preparation and it goes a long way towards overcoming performance anxiety.
Generally, one or two pieces may be played in succession but occasional performances of over 10 minutes can be accommodated by prior arrangement – please contact Raffaele Agostino to discuss.
In 2021 a new feature of the meetings is “Member Spotlight”, where some members may be invited to share a particular interest or area of expertise in the form of a short lecture/demonstration.
The meetings are open to CGS members and their guests, as well as members of the general public wishing to find out more about the Society’s activities.
Meetings are held the first Saturday of each month (except January) at The Uniting Church Hall (behind the Church, 1st floor), corner of Shirley Road and Nicholson Street, Wollstonecraft 2065 (Sydney).
